Restaurateur Mark Estee is helping to launch a new culinary venture this spring

A rent-by-the-hour commercial kitchen inside a new apartment complex.

The HUB@Oddie, described as an “adaptive, environmentally sensitive apartment project,” is transforming a skilled nursing facility in the Oddie-Wells corridor into a 58-unit apartment building with a nearly 3,000-foot kitchen space that developers plan to lease to businesses.

Estee, CEO of the ever-expanding food empire Local Food Group, said he has only offered consultancy services thus far but hopes to play a greater role in the future.
